PHILADELPHIA FELLAS

The philadelphia fellas are a charter member of the ESFFL. Owned by Fantasy Governor, Roger Johnson, the fellas are the only three-time champion of the ESFFL. They dominated the early years of the league, appearing in the championship game in five of the league’s first seven seasons. After losing the Fantasy Bowl 00000111 in year 2000, the fellas failed to return to the championship game for 21 consecutive seasons until last year when they lost to the mainline maulers in Fantasy Bowl 00011101. That was their sixth Fantasy Bowl appearance, tying the cecilcounty bayfoxes for most all-time. The fellas also remain one of the winningest teams in league history with 203 all-time wins through the 2022 season. The fellas championship in year 2000 was one of the most improbable in league history. The fellas were sitting in third place in their division with a 4-5-1 record with just two weeks left in the regular season. Their only chance at making the Johnson Cup Playoffs was to win their division outright, and the only way they could do that was to win both their final two games and hope the division leading norristown dragons lost both their games. Any tie for either team would have given the dragons the title. The fellas took care of business with a win in the second to last week of the season. The dragons kept things alive for the fellas with a loss. That led to a head-to-head matchup between the two teams in the seasons final week. The fellas won that game by a single point, 60-59, to become the first team in ESFFL history to reach the Johnson Cup Playoffs with only six wins. They parlayed that late season run into their third Johnson Cup Title and through the 2022 season, they remain the only team with three such titles.
