The pleasantville renegades made their ESFFL debut in 2013, back then known as the happyvalley endings. Recruited into the league by clammerin’clams’ owner Travis Davis, the endings experienced moderate success in their debut season, finishing 8-5, which was good for second place in their division, trailing only the clammerin’clams. They experienced a different form of success in 2014, as they won the Consolation Championship, following a disappointing 4-8-1 regular season. As a result of their Consolation bracket success, the endings received the #1 pick in the 2015 Player Redistribution Draft. They selected Antonio Brown with that pick, and he went on to be that season’s top scoring wide receiver. The clammerin’clams also owned Brown in 2015, and those two teams parlayed Brown’s success, all the way to a Fantasy Bowl matchup. The student got the better of the master in that game, as Dan made Travis the ESFFL bridesmaid for the second time in six years. The endings would achieve success again with a second Consolation title in 2016, a division title in 2018 and another Johnson Cup Playoff appearance in 2020, but since their Fantasy Bowl victory of 2015, they have only one win in the Johnson Cup Playoffs to their name. Perhaps due to that drought, and perhaps due to becoming a father with impressionable young children, Dan decided to change his team name prior to the 2021 season. The newly named pleasantville renegades went 7-5-1 in 2021, narrowly missing a spot in the Johnson Cup Playoffs. With their past success in mind, a new city behind them, and a new family to support them, the renegades are looking like a team on the rise for 2022.
